Accountancy Software: Netsuite - Multi Currencies
Users can now export documents to Netsuite using the Secondary Currencies against their Vendors. Previously if you had a vendor with GBP as the primary and AUD, USD, EUR as the secondaries, if you sent a secondary currency document into Netsuite it would only use the primary currency. Now, as long as the Vendor has the primary/secondary currencies applied to it, Lightyear will export the document in the correct currency.
Please Note: In order to use this feature, please add the Currency permission to your Role in Netsuite, and enable Multiple Currency Vendors within the Accountancy Software Settings screen.
9th September
If you would prefer to export into a Custom Form within Netsuite, you can now do so!
Head over to Accountancy Software and click the Settings option. In here you'll see two new fields for Send Bill to Custom Form and Send Credit Note to Custom Form with fields to enter the relevant Form IDs from Netsuite.
Please Note: If your Custom Forms have mandatory fields, or custom fields Lightyear does not currently export into, you may experience issues as our Export Format will not change with this Accounts wishing to continue to use the existing Form that Lightyear has always exported into can do so by leaving the following fields blank in Accountancy Software Settings. By default, these will populate into Form 50 for Bills and Form 48 for Credit Notes.

Accounting Software: Netsuite - Posting Date
Users can now export the Posting Date into the Posting Period field within Netsuite.
To enable this, head into Accountancy Software Settings and select the relevant option from the Sync Posting Date to field.
- Invoice Date - Will export the Posting Period to match the month from the Invoice Date
- Export Date - Will export the Posting Period to match the month the document was Exported on
- Do Not Sync - Will work as it did previously exporting the Posting Period as the invoice date, but with this you will not need to update permissions.
Please Note: You will need to add additional Permissions to the Role used to connect Netsuite/Lightyear. Within Transactions - Posting Period on Transactions and within Setup - Manage Accounting Periods.
Purchase Orders: Filters on Categories
Previously we released Filters into our Purchase Orders area allowing you to filter on Department, Supplier, Created By, Closed and Task. This release has added the filter into the Category 1 and Category 2 columns within Filters, giving you more control over searching for Purchase Orders relevant to you.

Mobile App - Enhancements
Within the Mobile App in Create PO or Create Manual Expense you will now see an additional field for Amounts Are. If you're familiar with Lightyear on desktop you'll be familiar with this field. If not, this will allow you to change whether the amounts being entered are Tax Exclusive, Tax Inclusive or No Tax and work to adjust any values Amount/Tax fields accordingly.
We have also made a change to how our app works on Android. Previously the back button on your device exited the Lightyear app, whereas now it will take you to the previous page e.g. if you go from Home > My Tasks, back will take you to Home.
