Why Am I Being Disconnected From My Accountancy Software?

While using Lightyear, you may sometimes notice you have been disconnected from your Accountancy Software without having clicked the button yourself, and need to reconnect before you can export again.

This will be because of Refresh Tokens that are set up by your specific Accountancy Software. The refresh token will expire after a period of inactivity, meaning if you haven't exported/imported in a predefined number of days, your accountancy software will disconnect you from Lightyear.

MYOB

Refresh Tokens on MYOB are valid for 7 days. After 7 days of inactivity, they will expire and users will need to reconnect.

Refresh Tokens on NetSuite are valid for 7 days. After 7 days of inactivity, they will expire and users will need to reconnect.

QuickBooks Online

Refresh Tokens on QuickBooks Online are valid for 100 days. After 100 days of inactivity, they will expire and users will need to reconnect.

Sage 

Both Sage Business Cloud and Sage Intacct refresh tokens are valid for 30 days. After 30 days of inactivity, they will expire and users will need to reconnect.

Xero

Refresh Tokens on Xero are valid for 60 days. After 60 days of inactivity, they will expire and users will need to reconnect.
