Negative lines resolved (for Xero users only)

For those on Xero, there was an issue on bills with negative lines that were going in to Xero as positive values.

This has now been resolved and negative lines are appearing as negative values again as expected.

Approver Users to see Product Lists

You may have already noticed, we're redirecting the Product List section and consolidating these under Suppliers. There was an issue where Approver Users could not see the Product Lists as they traditionally didn't have access to Suppliers' section.

We are now presenting Approvers with the option to view Suppliers but only update values under the Product lists. These users will NOT have access to change supplier default rules or mapping related details.  That way, they can update any product details/prices as required.

Query a map with our team

Here's a feature to help you better understand our maps. You might want to use this to query why an item isn't extracted, or why a certain value is appearing.  This feature was designed to help make it easier for you to reach out to our team. This will save you raising a support ticket or sending in a map request just to ask a question about a particular map.

You'll now see an option when you go to Map for Me to Query map rather than sending an actual map request just to send a note to the team.

You'll then see a grey question mark  icon appear in place of where you would normally see a map request.
if you click on the grey icon before a response is received, this will retract your query request.

When a query has been responded to, you'll see this icon  turn green.

Clicking on the green icon will take you directly to the Notes section for you to view the interaction as below.

Speed Enhancements for Asia Pacific Customers

We have completed a large database update which now means images for customers in the Asia Pacific region should come back up to 5 x FASTER.  This is particularly noticeable and beneficial for High resolution files or large files with multiple pages.

Email Suppliers activity now recorded

In an effort to increase communication flow between you and your supplier, we previously released the ability to Email Suppliers which then automatically Disputed bills within Lightyear.

Now, you can view the message that was sent recorded under your Activity > Activity section for you increased visbility on who followed up the supplier to avoid double handling!

Split Pages fixed for bills flagged as Manual Entry

There was an issue with bills where users could could now split bills that were flagged as requiring Manual Entry. The More option was not visible when the bill was selected from the Processing tab.

This has now been fixed with the ability to split pages for bills flagged as Manual Entry reinstated.

Date Options for those connected to "Other"

As Lightyear is expanding and growing in different regions, we understand there are different needs. For those using "Other" as their accounting softwares, you now have the choice to select your preferred date format. You can select between DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY as your default preference.

Head over to Settings > Accounting Software > Other would be preselected > Export Mappings > Date Format. See below.

Now your exports (or re-exports) moving forward will be set in your preferred date format.

Mobile App - Mentions

When writing a note in app, you can use the "@" symbol to "mention" someone. For example, if I wanted to contact or make a team mate aware of something in Lightyear, I would type @JoeBloggs, Joe will then receive a mention notification. (further down this article under Mobile App Notifications). Now it is even easier to contact, update and approve within your Lightyear workflow by simply typing the "@" symbol and the relevant persons name. See below:

Begin to type the relevant persons name, and select from the drop-down menu that shows the available users.

Mobile App Notifications

With our latest update, the Mobile App will now give you a notification tone, alert and notification symbol on the App when one is received.
This is a massive benefit for approving on the go and being alerted whenever something needs your attention. Here's how it looks when you receive a mention:

You can see that there is a little red Icon on the Lightyear App Icon and also, to the top of the screen, a lightyear symbol that tells you you have a message. Dragging this down (or preforming the action you use on you mobile device to show notifications) will reveal a small sample of the mention. See below:
