The 'Go to Lightyear' button you see in Xero whilst viewing the bill details, will show you the image of the document back in Lightyear's Archive.
When Lightyear transfers data to Xero, we can keep it running fast during the connection by just sending the URL pointing to the location of the file in your Lightyear Archive.
When you click the 'Go to Lightyear' button it will use that URL and open a new tab in your browser and can display an image of the original bill.
The image you're seeing is inside the Lightyear Archive so you need to be an Lightyear user with the correct privileges to see it. It won't, however, take you into the actual Lightyear account, but will just show you the invoice image, a button to print and a button to log out.
If the person wanting to see the invoice is not an Lightyear user already, then we suggest you set them up as an Auditor.
Note: Auditor access means they will be a user in Lightyear with Read Only rights to the entire Archive so they can log into your account to view all bills
So how does someone become an Lightyear User? And what type of User should I be.
To become a User you need someone with a Lightyear profile and account to add you.

Would you prefer to send the invoice image to Xero as an attachment?
If you prefer we can also send the invoice as an attachment. This way someone can view the invoice image without having an Lightyear login, but understand it will slow down the export. To turn on this option go to your Lightyear software settings. For more info click
