Mobile App - Biometric ID (Face ID/Fingerprint ID)

Mobile App - Biometric ID (Face ID/Fingerprint ID)

Biometric ID is what we call the ability to use Face ID or Fingerprint ID on your mobile device. When enabled, this will use what's available and supported by your device.

Enabling Biometric ID

When you are logged into the Lightyear app, open the Menu  and go to Settings. Here you will see an option under the Security section for Use Biometric ID. Click the slider  to enable this.

You will be asked to Log Out in order to continue the set up of Biometric ID.
Please Note: If you do not have Face or Fingerprint ID set up on your device, your set up may look different than this.

You'll be redirected back to the Log In screen where you'll need to re-enter your credentials. Once you click Log In, you'll be prompted to use Biometric Log In. Click Yes.

If your Face/Fingerprint ID matches that saved on your device, your login will be successful and you can move forward to the next step of log in.

Logging in Using Biometric ID

If you are logged out of Lightyear and open the app, your Face/Fingerprint ID will automatically kick in upon opening the app.

If successful, once the Log In page loads, your email and password will automatically populate and you will automatically be logged in.
